You have this only life where your soul and body are connected. This one amazing body that you live in, that you own! Hence, is why I believe in practicing self -love and knowing who you are as an individual is highly important.


Think about it, in this one life that we have. How do you want to spend your life? Regretting? Apologising? Hating yourself? Questioning? Even, not living up to your full potential.

I believe that everyone has a purpose in life and we were put in this life to live up to our greatest potential and we have no limitations to what we can achieve, apart from what we set ourselves.


Take happiness for example, how would you define happiness? Is it how social media conveys happiness with the luxurious lifestyle or is it simply being amongst family and friends. We each most probably know what happiness means to us.

We all have our perceptions of how we define happiness or success. Thus, why is it difficult to define who we are and own it. And forget, getting lost in this social media perception or what society tells us to be or should be.

In this one life, we all can't be photocopies, we were each given individual blessings and talents. Which to some it's easily identified but with others we have to search and go through obstacles in order to uncover our talents.

And that's where self-love comes in. But, what really is self-love and how can one implement it. Is self-love something you can buy in the store, a new garment, beauty products? Or, can a new relationship make you love yourself more? The answer to all of these questions is No!

Although it is all instant gratification that makes you feel good, you can't seek growth in self-love through these types of activities. Since self-love is not simply a state of feeling good.

Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, spiritual and psychological growth. Self-love is dynamic; it grows by actions that mature us. When we act in ways that expand self-love in us, we begin to accept much better our weaknesses as well as our strengths, have less need to explain away our short-comings, have compassion for ourselves as human beings struggling to find personal meaning, are more centered in our life purpose and values, and expect living fulfilment through our own efforts. And with that, I believe we can unlock our full potential once we get in touch with soul, mind, and body.
